52% of childhood hearing disorders are genetic

Half of childrenʹs sensorineural hearing disorders have genetic causes. This is the finding of research from the University Hospitals of Geneva and the University of Geneva. This study is a reminder of the importance of the genetic approach for early and appropriate management of hearing impairment, but also of other potentially serious disorders.
