Africa: malnutrition and overweight go hand in hand

At global level, Africa remains the continent most affected by undernourishment, with 59 million children suffering from chronic malnutrition. But today, this continent is also witnessing a rapid increase in cases of overweight and obesity, causing an explosion in cases of diabetes, hypertension and all lifestyle-related cardiovascular diseases.
