Air pollution, a veritable pandemic

Cardiologists have just published an article on what they call the air pollution "pandemic". The chosen term is strong and very apt for a phenomenon responsible for the premature death of a very large number of people. For the first time, its impact has been quantified on a global scale, region by region, and according to age and the diseases it causes. The figures are impressive.
