Alien creator Hans Ruedi Giger has died

The creator of Alien has died. Swiss artist Hans Ruedi Giger died on Monday in Zurich at the age of 74 following a fall. The Grison-born artist owes his fame above all to the film Alien, for which he created the monster and which won him an Oscar in 1980.
