Artificial fog to test the impact of climate change on forests

To study the effects of dry air and soil on forests, scientists are conducting an experiment in the Bois de Finges, Valais. Using a platform unique in the world, mature Scots pine trees are enveloped in a fog that increases the humidity of the air.
