Bacteria meet nuclear waste

Using bacteria to make future radioactive waste repositories safer... The idea sounds bizarre, but it's not all that far-fetched. It stems from research carried out under the direction of the Laboratory of Environmental Microbiology at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne.
