Dexamethasone, a promising steroid against COVID-19

Dexamethasone, a corticosteroid-based treatment, appears to be effective in severe forms of Covid-19. It reduces mortality by one-third in patients on oxygen or ventilation. This is the first result of the vast Recovery clinical trial, which aims to test treatments against the consequences of SARS-CoV-2.
