Diabetes: the importance of diagnosis

The number of adults with diabetes has exploded worldwide, rising from 108 million in 1980 to 422 million in 2014, or 8.5% of the adult population, the World Health Organization has warned. And, according to IDF estimates, 193 million people are unaware that they have the condition.
