A drug based on faecal matter

The CHUV becomes the first center in Switzerland to produce a drug based on fecal matter. Human poo to treat intestinal disorders such as "Clostridioides difficile", a disease that causes repeated diarrhoea that can be fatal. Swissmedic has just granted marketing authorization for this unusual drug.
