Egypt inaugurates Suez Canal extension

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi, in the presence of numerous foreign dignitaries, led the inauguration ceremony for the extension of the Suez Canal, a project designed to boost the country's economy. But the event also amounted to a demonstration of political power.
