A laser cannon capable of deflecting lightning over dozens of meters

Tests carried out on the summit of the Säntis mountain have demonstrated the effectiveness of the laser lightning conductor developed several years ago by a European consortium including the University of Geneva, EPFL and HEIG-VD. It is capable of deflecting lightning over several tens of meters.
