Martigny-Chamonix train now generates electricity on descent

The Mont-Blanc Express, which links Martigny to St-Gervais via Chamonix (F), recently generated its own electricity by recovering the energy produced during braking on descent. The energy collected is re-injected into the public electricity grid, a first in Switzerland.
