Meeting with Didier Trono

Didier Trono studied medicine at the University of Geneva. He then headed for the USA: Boston's Massachusetts General Hospital, then the Whitehead Institute at the prestigious MIT, before being recruited in 1990 by San Diego's Salk Institute to launch an AIDS research center. Didier Trono returned to Europe seven years later. In 2004, he took over the reins of the newly created Life Sciences Faculty at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). He stepped down from the deanship in 2012. Since then, he has run his own laboratory: the Trono Lab.
