More than 70 million displaced worldwide in 2018, a record high

The number of refugees and internally displaced people fleeing violence exceeded 70 million for the first time in 2018. It increased by more than 2 million in one year, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said in Geneva.
