New epilepsy surgery technology successfully tested at CHUV

In a European first, the CHUV in Lausanne has treated a patient suffering from epilepsy by burning the brain region responsible for the seizures using a laser fiber. The operation, known as thermo-ablation, went smoothly and the patient is doing well.
