A new method for detecting the sensitivity of bacteria to antibiotics

Scientists at lʹEPFL and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel have been working for several years on a new method for detecting the sensitivity of bacteria to antibiotics via optical microscopy. Basically, it involves "watching the bacteria dance"; when they stop moving, itʹs because the antibiotic has taken effect.
