The population of the canton of Neuchâtel continues to decline

The canton of Neuchâtel lost 1,142 inhabitants last year, according to the census. The decline was twice as steep as in 2017. La Chaux-de-Fonds, meanwhile, lost its position as the third-largest city in French-speaking Switzerland.
