Portable ultrasonography at the HUG: the future of medical diagnostics

Geneva University Hospitals breaks new ground with the first targeted ultrasound unit in Switzerland. Thanks to miniaturization, portable ultrasound scanners enable doctors to refine their diagnoses at the patient's bedside. This mastery of targeted ultrasonography has become essential. So much so, in fact, that the Swiss Medical Association will require its mastery by 2027 to obtain the FMH title of general internal medicine.
