Refund of a portion of the health insurance premium

Health insurers must now refund the portion of premium overpaid by the insured. This new premium divisibility follows a Federal Court ruling dated December 3, 2015. Health insurers must therefore reimburse policyholders for days when they were not subject to Lamal. This concerns people who leave Switzerland or arrive in Switzerland during the month, expectant parents of a baby or relatives of a deceased person.
