Separation: a pension for the unmarried parent

The new law on child maintenance has just come into force. The main aim of this revision is to protect and ensure the needs of minor children, whether or not their parents are married. From now on, the judge will determine the maintenance contribution for each child. A contribution that the child can also claim at a later date if his or her parent has failed to pay a sufficient amount over the past five years.
