Sustainable plastics made from agricultural waste

EPFL scientists have developed an innovative method for creating polyamides, a type of high-performance plastic, from agricultural waste, specifically using a sugar core extracted from this waste. This breakthrough represents a step towards a more sustainable plastic, reducing dependence on fossil fuels and alleviating the environmental problems associated with the production and consumption of traditional plastics.
