In 1969, the Swiss Confederation signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Switzerland will not have an atomic bomb. Although the Swiss nuclear weapons program was not really buried until 1988, it is still a champion of fallout shelters. The country also has a history of anti-nuclear protest, notably in Geneva.
