A Ticino to replace Didier Burkhalter?

Since 1999, the Constitution has enshrined the principle of appropriate distribution of language regions in the Federal Council. However, since the departure of Christian Democrat Flavio Cotti in 1999, Ticino has not had a Federal Councillor.
