What role do the stars play in political decision-making?

Since the second half of the 20th century, discoveries in astronomy have fundamentally changed our understanding of the lʹuniverse and decisively enriched human thought. How, then, can this knowledge be formulated and integrated into decision-making processes? Can we intelligently give them a political scope, independent of financial, industrial or institutional pressures?
