Are we witnessing a strategy of Chinese conquest of Europe?

This is the biggest acquisition ever attempted abroad by a Chinese company. Chemical giant ChemChina is offering 44 billion francs to buy Basel-based Syngenta. Chinese investors have been showing an appetite for foreign companies for some years now. Are we witnessing a genuine strategy of Chinese conquest of Europe?
