In Switzerland, more than a hundred children under the age of ten have tested positive for Covid-19. There are more than 700 among ten- and nineteen-year-olds. Most infected children are not very ill, but a few cases are causing concern among pediatricians in Europe. Some young patients present atypical and potentially fatal forms, probably linked to Covid-19. They appear to be suffering from Kawasaki disease, an essentially infantile condition linked to inflammation of the artery walls and which can cause toxic shock.
