China pollutes less than expected in recent years

China's CO2 emissions have been considerably overestimated in recent years, according to a study published in the journal Nature. It remains the country that emits the most carbon dioxide, but thanks to the poor quality of its coal, the country is said to have polluted 14% less than estimates made so far by the United Nations.
