Increase in pneumonia cases

The canton of Vaud, Switzerland, is experiencing an unexpected increase in cases of pneumonia caused by the bacteria Mycoplasma and Chlamydia pneumoniae, a post-Covid phenomenon reported by the cantonal physician's office and the CHUV. This increase concerns both adults and children, which is considered unusual. Doctors are being alerted, not least because these infections are difficult to diagnose.
