Leg prostheses, the essential tool for regaining independence

Despite medical advances, amputation sometimes remains the last resort to save life and preserve health for some patients. Every year in Geneva, around 30 people have all or part of their leg amputated. Prostheses then become essential tools for partially or fully regaining lost autonomy.
