Orthodox in Switzerland: a discreet minority

150 years ago, on the ancient walls of Geneva, sʹérige lʹéglisee orthodoxe russe, reconnaissable de loin avec ses 5 bulbes dorés. Itʹs a sign of the long, if discreet, presence of Orthodox Christians in Switzerland. Yet in the space of 30 years, their numbers have doubled. There are now 150,000 Orthodox Christians from a wide variety of backgrounds: Serbian, Romanian, Russian and Greek.
