School phobia

In recent years, school absenteeism has increased in French-speaking Switzerland. Some of these absences can be explained by school phobia, or anxious school refusal. This phenomenon affects teenagers as well as primary school pupils. What are the reasons for school phobia? How can we detect a child in this situation?
