The spider fiddler
Légende
In Switzerland, no spider species causes any problems. However, in the South of France, there's a little spider that's causing a stir. It's called the "violinist". On its cephalothorax, a pretty violin is drawn. Its scientific name is Loxosceles rufescens, from the Scaridae family. Its venom is very particular: it is necrotizing. Enzymatic tests are available to determine who you're dealing with, if you've been stung.
