Welcoming refugees: between hostility and hospitality

Since the start of summer, hundreds of thousands of people have been fleeing the fighting or chaos in Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and Eritrea. This migration crisis, described as unprecedented since the Second World War, is generating two opposing currents in the populations of Western Europe: growing solidarity and growing rejection. Reports from Germany and Switzerland, where acts of hostility or hospitality are multiplying.
