La nature si je veux, history of Swiss environmental awareness: On the Lavaux terraces

On the shores of Lake Geneva, the Lavaux wine region is the fruit of centuries of shaping the landscape into this sunny spot that we generally find quite breathtaking. It all began at the end of the last Ice Age. The region was still unexplored and not yet named Lavaux, which it would be in the Middle Ages, according to a tortuous etymology.
