Switzerland-Algeria: The first steps

Since the 19th century, Swiss people have forged close ties with Algeria, notably through the Compagnie genevoise des Colonies suisses de Sétif. Although Switzerland has never been a colonial power, it has contributed to colonization with these neighboring empires.
